Music Man 25th Anniversary

Unfortunately, I do not get to see a lot of Music Man guitars come through the Guitar Sale inventory. That is fortunate for you, the customer, because that means that Ernie Ball’s Music Man guitar division makes super high quality instruments in the USA at affordable prices. When I do get the opportunity to put my hands on a Music Man, I jump at the chance.
The particular guitar I have chosen is the 25th Anniversary model. The guitar exudes impeccable craftsmanship. Great finish, wonderful fretwork and versatile electronics are just some of the high points of this guitar.
This guitar is a great example of form and function. The figured maple top with the basswood body coupled with the sleek shape makes this guitar not only a comfortable player but also a sonic pleaser. The body is not only light weight, but also sits well both standing up and sitting due to its unique shape.
The humbucking pickups have the option of operating in series or parallel. In parallel, the pickups have fantastic sparkle and clarity. Flip the switch to series and they growl like a sup’ed up hot-rod. Music Man added extra versatility to this guitar by giving it a 5 way switch that allows for not only the standard 3 pickup selecting options, but also allowing for the outside and inside coils of the humbuckers. The controls are all laid out in position that is convenient for all styles of playing.
With the option of either a maple board or rosewood board, players can choose their favorite board material. Along with this option, you can go with Music Man’s fixed bridge or their two-point tremolo system.
