This guitar hearkens back to days of old and captures the distinct look, feel, and tone of days past. You will be amazed and totally blown away by the craftsmanship and detail that has been put into this guitar. Very few guitars inspire me to play slide. Some guitars just feel too modern and though they may play great they don't invite you to tune to that open D tuning and break out a bottleneck. This one is an exception! The 1937 L-00 is one of the guitars from Gibson's new Legend Series and is based on Lee Roy Parnell's original that has been used on literally hundereds of classic recordings. Gibson has recreated every detail down to the tooling marks and the guitar has hand scalloped braces and they also used hide glue for better transfer of tone to create an amazing sounding guitar. If you play old school country blues, enjoy open tuned slide or fingerpicking this guitar is worth the price of admission.
